1 speedlite at camera right
I was in my prof’s seminar today to help out as his assistant called in sick. It was the third and last day of his seminar so there was also the customary class picture. More

Funny how I almost forgot about this time-lapse photography I did when we went to Punta de Uian in Zambales for the first time. I used an intervalometer and set my camera on a tripod and left it at the roof for about an hour. I would’ve gone longer with it but due to time constraints and fatigue, I had to stop the camera. Enjoy!

Too bad I don’t have the means and the resources to get this DVD cheaply. The cost of the shipping is more than that of the DVD itself so I don’t think that it is a good idea. However, this DVD, I believe is a very good lighting resource. Judging from the sample images and teaser, this is something that no photographer should pass up.

P NutPhotography, Quicklinks, Video behind the scenes, fashion shoot
Here’s a cool behind the scenes fashion shoot that I really find very informative. It made some really good use of studio space, flags, gels, backdrops and what not. You can check out the photo sets over at Flickr.

Punta De Uian Main Hotel/Lobby
We went back up to Punta de Uian today, April 7, 2009, to shoot some more new rooms — the duplex and the triplex as content to their site. There’s also the unfinished chapel which is a shame because I wanted to take a shot of the interior. However, the place is not yet done and there are ‘x’ marks on the glasses still and what not.
Now, I’m still clueless which photography specialty I would like to really get into but it seems that real estate photography is nice. I like the challenge of using flash and the ambient light, you should be able to balance the 2 to get a well-lit photo. Being creative is key to getting the proper set up and I love the challenge it gives.

2 speedlites placed inside the lampshade balanced with the ambient light.

ambient light as main light. 1 speedlight placed inside the capiz lampshade and 1 handheld speedlite as fill light for the room.

P NutPhotography Batibot, Kuya Mau, Maupets, Photoblog, Pia Hontiveros, Puppets, shirts.ph, shoptalk
It seems that Shirts.ph is getting a lot of publicity this year. This time, it’s Pia Hontiveros who plugged the shirts at her show Shoptalk for their April Fools’ edition. The other guest is Kuya Mau of Maupets. I was surprised to find out that he also worked in Batibot. That, in itself, is something that I give instant respect to. Sitting alongside somebody who worked at a show that I’ve watched when I was young gives me a full circle kind of feel.
Pia Hontiveros is a very nice lady and easy to get along with. The staff and crew were also kind to us so big props to them.
